Elkhart County 4-H Fair Starts Friday: What to Know

Written by on July 22, 2026

Okay, real talk: is there anything more chaotic-in-the-best-way than fair week? Between the fried food, the farm animals, and trying to convince your kids that yes, they do have to shower after the petting zoo, it’s basically a full-contact sport. And guess what? It’s back this Friday. 🎉

The Elkhart County 4-H Fair officially kicks off Friday, July 24th, and it is the week around here. Whether you’re a fair-every-single-day family or a “we’ll swing by for the funnel cake” family, there’s something for everyone.

We’ve got all the schedules, exhibit info, and event details waiting for you on the official fair website — head to 4hfair.org to plan your whole week (yes, print it out and put it on the fridge, we won’t judge).

Come Say Hi — We’ll Be There Live!

Here’s the fun part: Froggy will be broadcasting live from the fairgrounds on our very own Froggy Padio, our mobile studio that gets us right into the middle of the action.

A couple of quick shoutouts to the folks who make it happen:

  • Everence Financial Group — proud sponsor of our live fair broadcasts
  • Monteith’s Best-One Tire & Auto Care — the crew behind the wheels that get the Froggy Padio to the fairgrounds

So swing by, say hey, and let us know what you’re most excited for this year — whether it’s the animals, the rides, or (let’s be honest) the food.

Quick Fair-Week Survival Tips

  • Wear comfy shoes. You will walk more than you think.
  • Bring cash for the little stuff — not every booth takes cards.
  • Check the 4-H Fair website before you head out so you’re not wandering aimlessly with cranky kids in tow.

Alright, moms (and dads, and everyone in between) — what’s on your fair bucket list this year? Drop your must-see, must-eat, or must-do in the comments on our Facebook or Instagram — we want to know what we’re missing! 🐷🎡
