So… What Exactly IS the Great Cardboard Boat Race?

Picture this: teams spend weeks engineering boats made completely out of cardboard, then paddle them across a pond and hope for the best. It’s equal parts science fair, boat show, and hilarious chaos — and it’s all in the name of a great cause.

The Great Cardboard Boat Race is put on by Crossroads United Way, and every bit of it — building, racing, cheering — helps fund local programs supporting youth opportunity, financial security, and community resiliency right here in our area.
