So What Is Oaklawn’s Got Talent?
Think of it as your favorite TV talent competition — except it’s live, it’s local, and every ticket and vote goes toward something that truly matters. Oaklawn’s Got Talent, presented by The Valinhos Foundation, is an annual fundraiser supporting local mental health and addiction treatment services. Local finalists compete on stage while the community votes for their favorite act.
This year, all proceeds benefit Oaklawn’s crisis services — making sure anyone in our community who needs help in their darkest moment can get it immediately, right here at home.
Meet the Finalists
- 🎸 Aaron Stutzman Family — A family band from Millersburg performing gospel and traditional country, with some featured yodeling!
- 🎭 Caleb Shaw — A seasoned musical theatre performer and vocalist who has appeared as a guest artist with full orchestras.
- 🎤 Janet Gunn — A South Bend native who started singing at age 5 and has built a successful performance career.
- 💃 Kiana Piercy — Started dancing at age 4 and trained for 14 years in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and more.
- 🎶 The Ripple Effect — A vocal project formed in 2014 dedicated to uniting the community and raising social awareness through music.
Your $5 Vote Goes a Long Way

This One Hits Close to Home
We’ve all been touched by mental health challenges in some way — a friend, a family member, a coworker, or maybe even yourself. Oaklawn has been a cornerstone of mental health and addiction treatment right here in Michiana for decades. When you show up Friday night, you’re helping make sure the next person who calls for help in a crisis actually gets it. That’s a big deal. And it only costs $15 to be part of it.
