Goshen Light Parade 2026: Your Family Night Out Guide

Written by on November 3, 2026

The clocks fell back, and now it’s pitch dark by the time you’ve finished the school pickup line, made dinner, and found the other shoe. 🙃 Here’s the good news: for one night, the dark is actually the best part.

The Goshen Light Parade is back this Friday, and it’s the perfect excuse to bundle up the kids, skip the dishes, and let downtown do the entertaining.

The Goshen Light Parade: What You Need to Know

When: Friday, November 6, 2026. First Friday festivities run 5 to 9 p.m., and the parade kicks off at 7 p.m.

Where: Downtown Goshen, along 5th Street, Jefferson Street, and Main Street.

Picture lighted floats, decorated vehicles, and glowing displays from local schools, businesses, clubs, and nonprofits winding through Main Street. It’s basically a moving holiday light show, and the kids lose their minds (in the best way).

And yes, Froggy 102.7 is a proud Light Parade sponsor, so come say hi! 🐸

The Parade Route (Plus Road Closures!)

The parade starts on 5th Street at Lincoln Avenue, heads south on 5th, turns onto Jefferson, and then rolls onto Main Street. You can check out the full map on the official Goshen Light Parade event page.

Heads up on road closures, especially if you’re driving in:

  • 6:00 p.m. – Alleys between Clinton, 5th, Jefferson, and Main close
  • 6:30 p.m. – Full closures on 5th, Jefferson, Main, and Clinton Streets

Mom tip: Get there early, park, grab food, and stake out your curb spot before the closures hit. Future-you will be grateful.

Feed the Crew (No Cooking Required!)

Nobody’s making dinner Friday. Food trucks are back, plus downtown restaurants are serving up soups, warm drinks, and cozy cold-weather comfort food.

Food trucks on the lineup include:

Want something grown-up? Cortado’s has a steak sandwich on a house-made baguette with chimichurri and horseradish this month. And ONE VILLAGE Fair Trade is looking for cookie taste testers. Volunteering as tribute! 🍪

Fun for the Kiddos

Stop by Garden City Church for free hot chocolate and a free kids’ activity. Everyone’s welcome, and warm hands make for happier parade watchers.

Sneak in Some Holiday Shopping

Let’s be honest: the holiday shopping list is already staring at you. Downtown merchants have some sweet First Friday deals:

  • Woldruff’s: Buy a $100 gift card, get a $20 gift card free
  • Found: 20% off all lamps (in honor of the Light Parade. Cute, right?)
  • The Green Bee: 15% off all candles
  • Catitude Cafe: Buy one cat lounge visit, get the second 50% off (5–9 p.m., walk-ins only)
  • Maple City Market: Free-range frozen turkeys on sale, plus sign-ups for fresh local turkeys for Thanksgiving
  • Fables Books: A Meet the Authors event from 6–8 p.m. with three Indiana authors

While you’re strolling, don’t forget to vote for your favorite Downtown Business Light Display!

Make It a Night!

Between the glowing floats, hot cocoa, and a head start on holiday gifts, this is one of those easy, low-stress family nights that feels like a big deal to the kids.
